Welcome to the 82nd International Scientific Conference of the University of Latvia from January to April 2024!
The Academic Plenary Session took place on February 8, 2024, in the Small Hall of the University of Latvia, featuring a lecture by Jānis Sārts, the Director of the NATO Strategic Communications Excellence Centre, titled "How to communicate our future security?"
The rapidly changing security environment is one of the contemporary challenges, but is it the only one? During the discussions, Jānis Sārts addressed the opportunities and challenges presented by new technologies in the information space, as well as the role of science in today's geopolitical circumstances.
The conference has become an integral part of scientific life, bringing along nearly centuries of tradition.
Traditionally, the conference work is organised into section meetings in 4 fields of science (Natural Sciences, Humanities and Arts, Medicine and Health Sciences, and Social Sciences) and interdisciplinary topics.
Participating in the conference provides an excellent opportunity to share your research findings, introduce the latest scientific achievements, and establish connections with colleagues in Latvia and other countries.
The conference sessions will be held online or in-person.
